Football and Cheer Camp April 14 - May 18th
Join us for a six-week (one day a week) football & cheer camp hosted by the San Ramon Bears Youth Football and Cheer organization. This camp is available for athletes ages 6-14.
Camp will be held at Diablo Vista Middle School from 4-6pm on the following dates:
• Friday, April 14
• Friday, April 21
• Friday, April 28
• Friday, May 5
• Friday, May 12
• Thursday, May 18 (cheer showcase performance for parents)
Camp cost is $200 due upon registration. (use the "Register Online" button on the website menu)
Participants will also receive a San Ramon Bears T-Shirt
FOOTBALL PLAYERS:
This camp is designed to not only provide athletes the opportunity to learn and sharpen their football skills and techniques, but also improve their overall athletic ability.
Each practice will be divided to 2 separate portions.
The first part of practice will be dedicated to physical training, an aerobic/anaerobic workout, to improve your athlete’s speed/explosiveness, strength, agility, and stability.
The second part of practice will focus on building fundamental football specific skills and techniques from San Ramon Bears Coaches with decades of experience.
Your player will learn step by step basics of tackling and blocking using padded dummies, fottball stances, reciever routes, how to take a handoff and even how to work together, which is the core of football - TEAMWORK
In addition to one practice a week at the field your athlete will be provided the following;
• 3 day per week workout plan for 6 weeks. The 3rd workout of each week will be done at the Training Camp Practice. The other 2 workouts per week are voluntary and not done on Camp Training Days.
• A general nutrition guide to help teach proper nutrition for an athlete.
CHEERLEADERS:
Athletes will learn what it takes to be a Bears cheerleader, including strength and conditioning, sideline cheers, motions, tumbling, a short halftime routine and best of all fun and team building!
