BEARS DAY – Saturday, July 13th
Get ready for Bears Day, the official kickoff for the Football & Cheer Season!
This mandatory event is a great opportunity for participants and parents to meet our board members and coaches, complete and turn in necessary paperwork, and receive season equipment.
Important Reminder: Please print out the forms attached and bring them signed to Bears Day. You can also find the forms on our website under About Us > Documents.
New Certification Process for All Athletes: National Sports ID due July 15th!
EBYFC is introducing a new online platform, National Sports ID, to certify athletes for the upcoming season. This will streamline the process and ensure all necessary documentation is in place. To verify your child, you will need:
A recent picture of your child
Birthdate
Birth certificate or passport
Last year's report card
Doctor's authorization stating your child can participate in the upcoming season
$10.00 for the certification fee
Please gather these documents and follow the instructions on the National Sports ID platform. If you have any questions or concerns, reach out to the National Sports ID chat feature for assistance.
WHERE: Bears Day will take place at California High School, 9870 Broadmoor Dr. – exact location is TBD.
WHAT AND WHEN: Please arrive during your designated time to help with the flow of check-in. If you have multiple children in the program, we will accommodate them at one time. If your scheduled time doesn’t work, please come anytime between 9:00 AM and 2:00 PM, and we will accommodate you.
9:00-10:00 AM: Cheerleaders
10:00-11:00 AM: Pee-Wee Football
11:00-12:30 PM: Junior Varsity Football
12:30-2:00 PM: Varsity Football
FOOTBALL:
Gear will be handed out on Bears Day.
Multiple stations will be set up, and at the final station, both you and your participant will sign off that you have received all your child’s equipment.
CHEER:
Practice gear will be handed out during the first week of practice.
Uniforms will be handed out prior to Jamboree.
CHEER SHOES RECOMMENDATIONS
For game day and competition shoes, please order the Chasse Flash Shoe in all white.
Game day and competition shoes should NOT BE WORN for practice, but you will need a cheer shoe that is sturdy with laces, and can be gripped easily. Shoes with velcro, slip ons, Converse, Vans, Crocs, etc.are NOT IDEAL cheer shoes for tumbling, jumping or stunting. This is especially true for flyers.
Game Day/Competition Shoes
A couple of practice shoe recommendations are included below.
FOOTBALL Be sure to bring and turn in:
Signed Parent Code of Conduct – both parent and athlete sign.
Signed Concussion Waiver – both parent and athlete sign.
3 Checks:
$200.00 for Football Equipment Deposit. This check will be cashed at the end of the season if the equipment is not returned.
$75.00 for late, dirty, or wet equipment. This check will be cashed at the end of the season if equipment is returned late, dirty, or wet.
$400.00 for your volunteer hours. This check will be cashed at the end of the season if your 12 volunteer hours are not completed.
Checks should be made out to San Ramon Bears and dated 12/1/2023 as we allow for families to complete hours through the end-of-season banquet.
CHEER: Be sure to bring and turn in:
Signed Parent Code of Conduct – both parent and athlete sign.
Signed Concussion Waiver – both parent and athlete sign.
1 Deposit Check: $400.00 for your volunteer hours. This check will be cashed at the end of the season if your 14 volunteer hours are not completed. Due to being awarded Jamboree, volunteer hours are set at 14 this season.
Checks should be made out to San Ramon Bears and dated 12/1/2024 as we allow for families to complete hours through the end-of-season banquet.
REMINDER: All registration fees must be paid, or a payment plan must be in place before any cheer or football equipment/uniforms will be handed out.
